We Believe
We believe
in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered died, and was buried. On the third day He rose in fulfillment of the Scriptures; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.

Sad Dog
MANS BEST FRIEND
A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.
But right now animal shelters are struggling to help a record number dogs, victims of the bad economy. Dogs are being returned to already overcrowded shelters and the cruel truth is that many will not make it. Record numbers of dogs are being dumped, abandoned and turned out onto the street. Others will suffer hunger, abuse, and neglect. Please help stop this brutal cycle, adopt a furry little friend from an animal shelter. Do not support Puppy Mills by buying dogs from pet stores, there are so many beautiful loving dogs waiting for you at your local shelter. Many shelters are putting record numbers of helpless dogs to sleep because there is just no more room or money for them.
If you just can't have a dog donate your time or some money to the ASPCA
Aspca
or to your local shelter.

Ground Control  Ground Control at least that's what we call it. Who says you can't live in the boonies and have all the high tech stuff. This is our contact with the outside world.

Mark J. Liberto moved to Texas about thirty years ago. I was born and raised in Chicago the oldest of five children. I grew up in the city but always wanted to live
in the country away from the noise and crowds associated with living in any big urban area. I enjoy the peace and quite nature provides along with the slower
pace (I do miss the Pizza Though). I believe we should all slow down, lose the cell phone or lap top and enjoy
Mark J. Liberto
what life has to offer. I believe in quality not quantity that is one of the reasons for Mercantile Mart, offering a quality product at a fair price. I also believe in America and the American way of life, let's keep our country strong by buying American made products when we can.
Norma Gail Turnbow  Norma Gail Turnbow has lived in Texas for the last ten years. I was born and raised in Utah and was
the youngest of two children, my brother was five years older than I. We had wonderful parents and spent a lot of time fishing, camping, and just spending time together. My parents always taught me that honesty is the best policy and with a last name of "Trusty" it seems to go together. My mother, father, and brother have all passed
on and I will always remember the good times we had together. I married at a very young age and was blessed with three wonderful children. They now have all grown up and are married now blessing me with six beautiful grandchildren. I am very proud of them all.

Yukon was our first, an Alaskan Timber wolf mix sadly he is gone but he's not forgotten. Yukon

Mutley Mutley was a stray on his way to the animal shelter where he would not have made it. We decided to rescue him as he was being loaded on the truck, we were lucky and the dog catcher let us have him. He is still with us, living proof you can teach an "old dog" new tricks.

Egypt shown here as a pup was with us for almost a year but now is gone.  Egypt

Sheba Sheba had a short life, sadly somebody thought it was fun to use a puppy for target practice and shot her. I found her when I arrived home, she managed to crawl back from where she was shot and died in our yard.

Fuzzball is shown here as a puppy and has grown into a real handful. She keeps us busy with her antics and is just spoiled rotten. Fuzzball

Poopas Poopas is just Poopas a fun loving animal who just loves to lay around and take it easy. You will usually find her asleep in the driveway taking in some sun.

Baby Baby is the latest addition to the tribe, although the runt of the litter she is something else. Her mother is Fuzzball (above) so I imagine she will be a handful too.

CLEBURNE STATE PARK
Cleburne State Park is a 528-acre park that encompasses a lively 116-acre, spring-fed lake. Located southwest of Fort Worth in Johnson County, the park was acquired from the city of Cleburne and private owners in 1935-36 and was opened in 1938.
Wall Art
The region surrounding Cleburne State Park was a favorite hunting ground for many Indian tribesmen, since it comprised densely wooded country amidst plains and included several clear water springs. The Comanche's used this area as a trail from the northwest to raid the homesteads in the south. The Indians would lead two fresh horses as they rode a third one, switching to a fresh horse as each one was winded. In this manner, they would escape their pursuers.
Wall Art
Their concealed trail was last used for a raid on Kimbell (now known as Kimbell Bend) which, built in 1851, was the first town in Johnson County. Kimbell was established on the Chisholm Trail at its crossing on the Brazos River. Vast herds of cattle from the southern ranches in Texas crossed at Kimbell Bend going north to the markets. The park, located eight miles north of Kimbell Bend, was also a good camp site for the cowboys who drove cattle on the Chisholm Trail.
Wall Art
In 1934, this beautiful valley of springs was recognized as a picturesque locality for a park. A group of local businessmen, interested in its development, secured it for the State Park Board to establish a state park. In 1935, Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) Company 3804 of the federal government moved into the park site to start developing a park.
Wall Art
The enrollees built a small earthen dam to impound the park's 116-acre lake, with a beautiful masonry, three-level spillway, then cleared a three-mile-long scenic roadway around the lake. A concession building, boathouse, and bathhouse were built in 1936, with additions in 1940.
Wall Art
The park residence, water tower, and interior furnishings display a variety of handcrafted wood and metal ornaments.

Meet Me In The Stairwell
MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL
You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news on September 11th 2001, Neither will I. I was on the 110th floor in a smoked filled room with a man who called his wife
to say "Good-Bye." I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say "Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK I am ready to go."
****
I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their childrn.
I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night.
****
I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a woman cried out to me for help. "I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!" I said "Of course I will show you the way home - only beleive in me now."
****
I was at the base of the building with the priest ministering to injured and
devastated souls. I took him home to tend to his flock in heaven.
He heard my voice and answered.
****
I was on all four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer.
****
I was with the crew as they were overtaken.
****
I was in the very hearts of the believers there, comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them.
****
I was in Texas, Kansas, and London.
****
I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense me there?
****
I want you to know I saw every face, I new every name though not all know me. Some met me for the first time on the 86th floor.
****
Some sought me with their last breath. Some couldn't hear me calling to them through the smoke and the flames; "Come this way take my hand."
Some chose for the final time, to ignore me but, I was there. I did not place you in the tower that day. You may not no why, but I do. However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for me?
****
September 11th 2001 was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end. And I will be there for you as well. Seek me now while I may
be found. Then at any moment, you know you are "ready to go." I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.
